It all started way back, playing toy soldiers on the bedroom carpet, my imagination helping me create a never-ending world of adventure. In the summer, in the back entry, my friends and I traveled to faraway lands, fought epic battles, stared one another down in Western towns. In winter, with the weather turned cold, I'd continue alone in my room. It's what I still do. I've never grown up. My mind is alive with stories, characters and settings, only now I write them down. My stories come from anywhere. I have no conscious plan. When an idea grabs me, that's it - I sit and write. Sometimes I make a plan, but most often I allow myself to be carried off into the world of my own creation. I still play with soldiers, but because I'm supposed to be an adult, they are called model soldiers now. I'm as eclectic with my interests as I am with my writing. I have three lovely daughters of whom I am immensely proud. My dream would be to live on a narrowboat with the one I love. Who knows, it might even happen. I'm always writing but in the periods between the words I teach history. My dog's name is George and he is very handsome. Thank you for dropping by.
